A hobby, run by one person in Jaipur, that happens to arrive by post.
Mail Club by NiMuSha is a small monthly snail-mail club, run by Muskan Agarwal from Jaipur, Rajasthan. Every month a limited number of envelopes go out by post, each one put together by hand, one person, start to finish.
What a member gets
One envelope a month, posted to your address in India. Inside there is always a handwritten letter from me, and alongside it a mix of things chosen around that month's theme — stories, poems, affirmations, recipes, small objects, art and paper, a card to make something with, a scent, a hidden history. Nothing repeats from month to month, and you are not told in advance what is coming. That is rather the point.
Envelopes are offered in waves at different prices, and each wave holds a different number of pieces. The month's waves, prices and what each one contains are always listed on the booking section of the site.
How it works
- Bookings open for a limited number of spots each month, and close when they are gone.
- You pay through Razorpay, then fill in a short form with your address and contact details.
- Your envelope is posted to you, within India only.
- The reveal of what was inside is only posted publicly once every member has received theirs, so nobody's surprise gets spoiled.
A hobby, not a business
Mail Club is a creative side project, not a shop or a company, and it is not run for profit. What you pay is a token amount — it exists so the mail isn't simply free, not to cover what it costs. Most of the cost of making and posting each envelope comes out of my own pocket.
That is also why it stays small, why spots are limited, and why nothing here comes with the guarantees of a shop. It is one person sharing creative things by post.
Nothing here is a fixed list
Everything described on this website is an example of what an envelope can hold, not a promise of what will be in yours. Themes change every month, pieces are chosen by hand, and something shown in a past month may never appear again. What a wave does promise is the number of pieces written on its card: a handwritten letter, plus the extras that wave includes.
Who runs it
This is not a warehouse or a reseller. It is one person — a software and AI developer, candle maker and collector of odd, old, beautiful things — writing letters and packing envelopes by hand, around a full-time life.
